When we get started here in just a moment, we're going to be picking up at the beginning of

So we are, obviously, if you've turned one page of the Orthodox study Bible and looked,

we're right at the end of the book of Leviticus, getting ready to go into the book of numbers. If you're listening to this recording at some time in the future, like all the way in the year 2000, then there will not be any break between this and the next Bible study. But for those of us here in this ancient time and place, we're about to have a two-month

break. So we're going to be finishing up these last couple of chapters. I'm not going to do a ton of

recap because we stopped at another good break point. It's almost like I planned it. I'm not saying

I planned it. I'm just saying it's almost like I did. So last time we talked about the festal cycle,

the Sabbath years, the Jubilee year, and now there's sort of a shift in the text. This is another

place where the chapter break was put in a pretty logical place when they added it many

centuries later because there's a change of topic. And really, the things we're going to get

here in these last couple chapters of Leviticus are sort of change of topic. And really, the things we're going to get here in these last couple chapters of

Leviticus are sort of summary of things we've already read.
