Okay, Lviticus 18, verse 1.

Now, the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

Speak to the children of Israel.

Say to them, I am the Lord your God.

According to the way of life in the land of Egypt where you dwelt, you shall not do.

And according to the way of life in the land of Canaan where I bring you, you shall not do. And according to the way of life in the land of

Canaan where I bring you, you shall not do, nor shall you walk in their ordinances. So,

remember how you lived in Egypt? Not anymore. You know how they live in Canada where I'm taking you?

We're not doing that either.

To the Israelites, you're going to be different.

Right now, he's just talking to the Israelites.

You're going to be different.

What is the relationship to the resident aliens with them versus the Israelites? Because if they're living among them to this degree, I mean, isn't this in a way, them becoming Israelites? No. They should be passing through. They're not circumcised. Right. To become Israelites, they'd have to be, the males would have to be circumcised. They have to eat the Passover. Then they become Israelites. So these are people with green cards. So just in the ancient, where we're going to

see this as we go forward to the Old Testament, right? In the ancient world, even more so than today,

they're subject to weather and things. So if you're in Moab and there's a famine in Moab,

there's not an option to, like, ride it out.

You're going to go to Edom or to Israel

or to an adjoining place and go and work there.
