I'm going to get started here in just a moment.

We're going to be picking up at the beginning of Leviticus chapter 13.

So I'm not going to spend too long doing recap because we're in a section here.

As we've talked about before, in the structure of Leviticus, there are sort of narrative portions

that are kind of separated by legislative material, you might call it, commandments, instructions.

And so we had a big series of instructions about sacrifices and sacrificial ritual. And then we had the narrative section describing the

ordination of the priest, the first priest, Aaron as high priest, and then his sons. And then we had the narrative portion

about the end of Aaron's first couple of sons, the ordination of the next two. And then last time

we got into another period of commandments, these being about what you are and aren't allowed to

eat.

And then we briefly at the end of last time talked about the period of purification for women after giving birth.

So everybody, I think, gave thanks that they were not Jewish so they could eat owls and nighthawks and sparrows.

before we started recording, we've got a long section, multiple chapters here, about dealing with leprosy coming up. And so that's not sort of directly connected to what we were talking about
