Jeff, I'm so excited to be hanging out with you today, man. I know you have just a huge heart and passion for men and for dads and to see guys really step into their role as a first son of God and then as a husband and disciple maker of their family.

I'm excited to pick your brain man, but before we jump into all of that, maybe just tell us who you are and what you're up to these days.

Well, Mary to Stacy for quite a while now going on 39 years. I got four sons. They're all married now. Kyle Corey called me and Keegan. We used up all the K names we could. Who am I?

I've been discovering more and more that I'm a son of a father, even though I grew up with a really cool inspirational and significant leader dad. My dad was a pro quarterback for the Buffalo Bills when I was a little kid.

He ran for Congress. He ran for president when he was 50 years old, vice president in 96. So he was always kind of bigger than life and he was a super encourager and encouraged me that I have a great destiny. I'm a leader.

My day is going to come, et cetera, et cetera. But I kind of overinterpreted that to mean I got to be a success. I got to be a big leader. I got to be significant.

And so recently I've been discovering kind of the lie that the president version of Jeff isn't enough.

And that has come as I realize I have a perfect father who loves me simply as his son. So who am I? That's who I am. I'm his son.

And if I'm going to do anything, it's got to come out of my relationship with him and make sure the glory goes to him. So my journey, I played pro football.

I was a free agent with the Rams and played five with them, one with the Niners, one with five with the Seahawks. And my last year was with the Eagles.

I was a backup, got to start a couple of times, play with Steve Larger, Jay Rice, Joe Montana, be coached by Bill Walsh, you know, played with Reggie White, got Disciple and trained how to be a man during that time in the NFL.

And then ended up needing a ton of help in our marriage, because Stacey and I were so outrageously different personalities.
