So today, we're going to talk about Trump being told to fire Waltz and why he's not.

Reporting says that a number of Trump's top advisors, including Vance and his chief of staff,

Susie Wiles, have told Trump he should have fire National Security Advisor Waltz over the signal

chat which included information that the Republican chair of the Senate Armed Services Committee

said should be classified. But those close to Trump suggest he doesn't want to fire waltz

and it's for the most Trumpian reason. He doesn't want to let the media win.

Trump seems to acknowledge Walt's messed up, and some reporting even suggests he understands now

that Heggseth made a mistake by sharing the information he did. Apparently, Trump is even

venting his frustration in private and is monitoring the headlines closely.

Despite all of this, the official line from the White House at the moment is quote,

President Trump continues to have the utmost confidence in his national security team,

including National Security Advisor Mike Walts.

Trump apparently doesn't want to give the media a win because he fears it might embolden them.

Bannon said this was part of a, quote, no scalps policy. He went on to say that it was the

White House quote, fight club mentality.

Calling it a fight club mentality doesn't make a whole lot of sense at first, you know,

in reference to the movie Fight Club, unless it's meant in the whole Trump fighting fictitious enemies thing.

But that seems unlikely.

It really seems as though Trump's current plan is to double down on the

idea of never admitting a mistake. But his longtime style has been to never admit a mistake personally
