Well, howdy there, Internet people, it's Bell again.

So today, we're going to talk about why farmers are rejecting Trump's plans.

Well, as pretty much every economist predicted, Trump's trade war turned out to be ruinous for American agriculture.

Again, his tariffs were such an

abject failure that America's farmers need a bailout. Again. They haven't needed a bailout like

this since, well, the last time Trump was in office. Shortly after, Trump announcing the use of billions of U.S. tax

dollars to pay for the economic damage he caused came out, farmers started pushing back.

It's led to questions like this. Bell, why are soybean farmers saying the bailout isn't enough? I'm sure you'll cover this,

but the estimates I see say the industry will lose about $7 billion. The bailout is 12. Is this a bailout

to big ag donors and another Trump scam? Okay, so first, pretty much all agriculture bailouts benefit big ag.

Why?

Because after years of policies like this, the small-time farmer is becoming less and less

of a thing.

They're driven under and big producers buy them up and then hedge fund billionaires

claim to be soybean farmers. But that's not why a lot of the farmers are mad. Let's start with this.

Trump announced a deal and said China was going to buy their normal rate by the end of the year. That turned out

to be a lie. They've now pushed the deadline to purchase them back months, which means next

year's numbers are off too. So there's that. But the biggest reason is that they've already read the fine print.

It's not 12 billion for soybean farmers, even though that's the headline.

That's for all row crop farmers, not just soybean.

Half of all U.S. farms are losing money. Also, it's not 12 billion. It's 11 billion.
