Well, howdy there, Internet people, it's Bell again. So today, we're going to talk about Trump

and the states that need the education department the most. Trump has started the process of trying

to dismantle the Department of Education. Trump said, quote, we're going to eliminate it.

And this looks like one campaign promise he intends on keeping.

It's not something he can do by himself. He needs Congress to really dismantle it completely.

But he's started the process and many of his voters have been cheering. But maybe they shouldn't be.

There's a lot of confusion over what exactly

the Department of Education does, and many who are in favor of getting rid of it to end

woke curriculums are in for a surprise when they find out the curriculums are done at the state

or local level. More importantly, many of the states that are Trump's

biggest supporters need the Department of Education the most. Secretary of Education Linda McMahon

said programs that directly affects students wouldn't be defended. But Congress has to make that

true via legislation. The other question is that if Congress

does provide the funding through some other mechanism, it becomes a way for Congress to exert control

over state governments. But I guess that's a problem for future parents and students. So, which states get the most funding per student in dollars?

Alaska, North Dakota, Montana, Kentucky, and South Dakota.

That's a pretty red list of states.

Now, which states get the highest percentage of their education spending from the federal

government? Mississippi gets the highest percentage of their education spending from the federal government.

Mississippi gets the highest percentage with 23%. South Dakota, Montana, Alaska, Arkansas, and North Carolina are the next five,

all getting more than 20% of their funding from the federal government.

Rounding out the top 10 are Kentucky, Arizona, Oklahoma, and Tennessee.
