Well, howdy there, internet people, it's Bell again.

So today, we're going to talk about voting, counting the votes, and reaching out.

So, we had a question come in that I find interesting because it gets to the heart of

Doomer mentality, even though that's not what the question is really about.

Here's the question. Quote, I have a friend, and yes, I know that's how all awful questions

seem to start out. But anyhow, I have a friend who doesn't vote because he says it doesn't matter,

that it's all rigged. I've tried to

talk to him about this and about the massive number of people that didn't vote in the last election

and how that could have changed the results of the election. But he insists that it's all rigged,

and no matter what you voted, it won't matter. He kind of likes

the Illuminati conspiracy, but I'm wishing that I could find a way to encourage him to become more

involved, or at least vote once in a while. He is definitely among the people affected by these

recent cuts.

Do you have any suggestions as to how I can actually reach him about this?

Okay, so you don't really say how taken with conspiracy theories he is.

Please understand. If they're really out there with it,

it's not a good idea to reinforce them. That being said, one thing I've always found interesting

is when people fall for something that could easily be a conspiracy theory, while talking

about a far more complex and therefore

less likely theory.
