So today, we're going to talk about Ukraine getting congressional support over

Trump's objections. Trump has managed to stall and hinder aid for Ukraine since he took office.

He's also waived sanctions on Russian oil, using the excuse that it needed to be done because of his failed

elective war in Iran. He did all this while promising to end the fighting on day one. Spoiler

alert. He did not end the fighting on day one. The delays in aid have done nothing but prolong the war, strengthen an

adversarial nation, and weaken U.S. reputation in Europe. Now, just enough congressional

Republicans seem to be realizing that Trump's policies are hurting not only the country,

which has been obvious for a while,

but are also, and probably more importantly to most of them, hurting their re-election chances.

Those Republicans crossing the aisle led to a 218 to 204 vote, which clears the way for a final vote on the Ukraine Support Act. That would provide long-delayed military aid to Ukraine. The final House vote on

the legislation isn't currently expected until August 7th.
