Well, howdy there, Internet people, it's Bell again.

So today, we're going to talk about Trump, unintentionally admitting tariffs are raising your grocery prices.

Ah, yes, that old-fashioned word, groceries.

Trump was going to bring prices down on day one. Y'all remember that? We just didn't know

he meant a Venusian day. According to the September 2025 Consumer Price Index, in the last year,

bananas are up 6.9%. Beef prices are up 14.7 percent and coffee prices have shot up 18.9 percent.

Trump wants to bring these incredibly noticeable signs of inflationary pressure down. How do you think

he's going to do that? In administration officials said, quote, with all of these deals, the ones in Asia, the ones

we're announcing today, we maintain the tariffs.

We give some tariff relief on certain products or goods, but at the same time, we open

up foreign markets in ways that they have not been open before.

Wait, if we want prices to go down on certain products, we lower the tariffs?

I'm shocked, shocked, I say. This is my completely shocked face.

If lowering tariffs lowers prices, I wonder what raising them does.

So the obvious question is, why these products? Because we either can't produce them here at all,

or we aren't producing enough to meet demand at the price point people want. Products that must be imported are more susceptible

to tariffs driving up prices faster. A senior Trump administration official is reported to have said,

I don't have a precise number on how this might have the impact, right?

I mean, I think Secretary Bessent is right in that to the extent that any of the tariff price was passed down to the consumer.

I would hope that the retailers, you know, no longer need to do that.

Prices will go down because the tariff isn't being passed onto the

consumer anymore. As economists kept saying before the tariffs were put into place,
