Well, howdy there internet people? It's Bo again. So today we are going to talk about Texas,

Pakistan, Trump, and what apparently happened? Because if you don't know, the Attorney General of Texas

Paxton, he was impeached by the Republicans in the House, and then the Republicans

in the Senate acquitted him and he himself is a Republican.

Really weird. Really, really weird scenario.

There is now reporting that might explain a little bit of it.

According to the reporting,

Trump world, team Trump, mounted a pressure campaign aimed at state senators in Texas to get them to

acquit. Now basically their main I don't want to say threat, but their main statement was that if they

didn't quit they could expect a very well-funded primary opponent.

So it looks like, based on this reporting that the trial in the Senate wasn't actually about the

evidence. It became a political thing which impeachments are inherently political on some level.

And the state senators had a choice.

Did they want to face a primary opponent?

Or do they vote to acquit another Republican

and hope that Republican voters in Texas don't care about the idea of them actually reviewing

the evidence in a trial. And it looks like they decided they didn't want to deal with a primary

opponent and they're just going to count on Texas Republicans to put party

over principal. It's probably a safe bet to be honest. But there's something

else that I don't think the senators there in the state house in Texas, I don't think they understand.

Trump is spreading throughout the Republican Party. It was all fun and games when it was just
