Well, howdy there, internet people it spell again.

So today, we're going to talk about Trump starting demolition at the White House.

That's not really hyperbole.

Construction of Trump's bizarre ballroom is started, and despite his promises, the first thing of significance to happen was demolition

of portions of the East Wing. Back in July, Trump promised that wouldn't happen, he said,

quote, it won't interfere with the current building, it won't be, it'll be near it but not

touching it, and pays total respect to the existing building,

which I'm the biggest fan of. Around the same time, the White House press secretary said,

quote, nothing will be torn down. The images of an excavator ripping off part of the White

House suggests it will in fact touch it.

The images that circulated online were both disturbing, seemingly allegorical, and will no doubt be part of Trump's legacy.

The incredibly tone-deaf quarter of a billion dollar ballroom for rich people to have wine and dine

was in poor taste to begin with, while Trump's economy sputters along, and he claims inflation

was defeated, while Americans turn to go fund me for groceries. But starting construction

of the rich people's playground while the government is

shut down adds a whole new level of let them eat cake unless they're on snap to the affair.

It wouldn't be a Trump project if it didn't create an additional scandal. The National Capital

Planning Commission has not signed off on the

construction that is already underway. The Commission approves construction work and major

renovations to government buildings around D.C. The chairman of the Commission, who also

happens to be the White House Staff secretary and one of Trump's top

aides, said that somehow the White House doesn't count and doesn't fall under their jurisdiction.
