So today, we're going to talk about Trump, chicken and waffles, tomahawks, and Ukraine.

Recently, Trump tried to present a tough on Russia image.

He suggested he'd provide Ukraine with tomahawks, which would fundamentally

alter the situation by providing Ukraine with the means to strike much further. His tough guy

posture didn't last long. In recent days, he started waffling. Then, in a meeting with Zelensky, it's reported that he told him he wouldn't provide the longer range capabilities to Ukraine.

The stock market has the taco trade, indicating a belief that Trump always chickens out.

Foreign policy experts have started referring to Trump's

foreign policy as chicken and waffles foreign policy. Not referencing the delicious meal,

but instead referencing the idea that Trump's position will start with a bold statement,

then he waffles, Then he chickens out completely.

At the end of September, Trump said, quote, after getting to know and fully understand

the Ukraine-Russia military and economic situation, and after seeing the economic trouble it is

causing Russia, I think Ukraine, with the

support of the European Union, is in a position to fight and win all of Ukraine back in its original

form. With time, patience, and the financial support of Europe, and in particular NATO. The original borders from where

this war started is very much an option. Why not? Russia has been fighting aimlessly for three

and a half years, a war that should have taken a real military power less than a week to win.

This is not distinguishing Russia. In fact,

it is very much making them look like a paper tiger. Foreign policy experts,

regardless of their opinion on that statement, sighed and rolled their eyes at the waffling
