So today, we're going to talk about Trump's popularity and understanding reports on polling.

We got a question that I think is something a lot of people are wondering about, and there's

a lot of confusion over some of the numbers coming out. Okay, so here's the question.

Hello, Bell and team and community. I keep seeing contradictory information on Trump's polling.

Some sources say that his numbers are tanking, while others say that his poll numbers are resilient and steady.

And none of these sources of information are notably right wing. So which is true and why? Or,

if the truth falls outside of that simple binary, what's really going on with his approval numbers?

And finally, what does it mean for

Republicans and Democrats across the board? I'm going to go over some hypothetical headlines.

Trump's base remains solid, maintains 89% support. Trump, 19 points down from post-World War II average of presidents at same point in second term.

Trump's budget support collapses, down 14 points to only 29% approval.

Only 37% of U.S. adults approve of Trump's presidency. All of these

headlines are actually true. More importantly, they're all true based on the exact same poll.

These are headlines we came up with based on the July 7th through 21st, 2025 Gallup poll.

Answers are only important if you're asking the right question.

And polling only matters if you understand the question being answered,

and in some cases, why people are answering the way they are.

Sometimes it's easier to get this next part if you think about it through the lens of your own party.
