Those kinds of layoffs will get our spending back down to the 1950s.

I knew you were wrong and saved your channel to come back once they fired these people.

You said they'd never get there through layoffs. Now, let's see your video telling people that they're going to do it.

Let's start with some stuff to show scale.

I think the median federal worker pay is about $80,000 per year.

That might be an old number, but it doesn't matter here.

As we go through the numbers to show scale, you can literally double it,

and the point is still more than valid.

So that makes the 700,000 layoffs worth about

56 billion. Fifty-six billion is 2.8% of the goal of 2 trillion. How many workers would

they need to lay off to get to their goal? 25 million. How many employees does the federal government have? Let's take the

civil service, which is what people normally mean when they say federal employees. Go ahead and

add the military and round up to the nearest million, just for funsies. That's around five million.

As I said, there is no way to get there via layoffs,

even if you fire the entire federal government. You said, quote, those kinds of layoffs will get our spending back down to the 1950s. So we'll take 195.
