Well, howdy there, internet people it spell again.

So today, we're going to talk about Trump's Iran deal and your questions.

Normally, I don't like talking about diplomatic deals before they're done.

But given the list of questions and the reaction from within the Republican Party, this doesn't

seem like it can wait.

First up, is this basically the Iran deal?

No, it's objectively worse from what we've seen.

From what has come out, Iran gets sanctions relief and about $20 billion of frozen assets unfrozen.

Trump is also reportedly saying the Israeli offensive in Lebanon will end.

The U.S. gets the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, but in what circumstances hasn't been released.

Iran would also agree to negotiate on its nuclear program over 60 days, but that would start on June

5 in Pakistan. This is objectively worse and less concrete than the deal Trump tore up that Obama obtained.

Without a war that cost at least $29 billion in the lives of 13 U.S. troops, plus hundreds

of wounded.

That doesn't even touch on the infrastructure damage and civilians lost all over the region.

So, what's the reaction in D.C.? Ben Rhodes, who is a deputy national security advisor under Obama, said, quote,

Nothing was accomplished by Operation Epic Fury, except putting the IRGC in charge of Iran and the Strait of Hormuz.

Okay, but that's a political opponent. What about Republicans? And why are so many unhappy?

Let's go over what they've said first. Senator Roger Wicker of Mississippi, who is chairman of the Senate Armed Services

Committee, posted to social media and said, quote, the rumored 60-day ceasefire, with the belief

that Iran will ever engage in good faith, would be a disaster. Everything accomplished by Operation Epic

Fury would be for not. Senator Ted Cruz of Texas said, quote, if the result of all that is to be
