Well, howdy there, internet people, it spell again. So today, we're going to talk about

Trump's fund being blocked by a judge. So, Trump reached a settlement with an agency he controls

that called for the creation of a more than $1.7 billion fund that Trump said would be used to compensate

people unfairly targeted by the Biden administration. The fund's creation has been highly

controversial, with even some congressional Republicans panning the idea completely.

At this point, DOJ hasn't actually formed the five-person commission

that would figure out the details on payout criteria.

Right now, no money has been paid out and no claims accepted.

The whole thing is kind of theoretical at this point.

Call it concepts of a fund. Well, a Jan 6 prosecutor and others sued to block the fund last week,

and on Friday, U.S. District Judge Brinkma of the Eastern District of Virginia entered an order

temporarily blocking it. The order was short and sweet. In relevant part, it says, quote,

ordered that defendants be and are enjoined from taking any further action pursuant to the creation or operation of the anti-weaponization fund,

which includes the transferring of money to the fund,

the consideration of any claims submitted to the fund,

and the dispersing of any funds from the fund.

The judge said the order was necessary to make sure, quote,

no funds are irreversibly dispersed from the anti-weaponization fund. One of the plaintiffs,

Andrew Floyd, who was head of a task force in the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Columbia,

dealing with the attack on the Capitol, wrote quote. The president's targeting of me and others

involved in January 6th prosecutions leaves our country in a very dark place, sending a message that insurrection and sedition

will be protected and even encouraged, as long as it is on behalf of this administration.
