So today, we're going to talk about Trump's climate policies.

Trump has campaigned on a number of issues that are going to greatly impact the climate and environment.

It's important to remember that Trump does not believe the long-established consensus that humanity

is impacting the climate. He has a fascination with fossil fuels. Drill Baby Drill,

being a consistent slogan at his rallies, is obviously a concern for those trying to break free

of dirty energy. He has also promised to cut government regulations.

The combination of promoting dirty energy

and wanting to cut regulations is likely to lead

to not just emissions regulations being slashed,

but also to environmental regulations of all kinds,

taking a hit to aid in the extraction of resources.

The EPA has long been a target of Republicans, even before the Trump era.

There will be ample support among Republicans in Congress to make major changes to the agency.

He has an established track record of discounting, ignoring, or directly contradicting research

and scientists, and has been accused of limiting the independence of government-funded scientific

research.

The way Trump views relationships as transactional may be a benefit here.

Trump owes Elon Musk a lot. Musk has a vested interest in a number of techs that are in conflict

with Trump's drill baby drill attitude. While it's unlikely that Musk will be able to truly curtail Trump,

we don't even know that he would want to, but he might be able to dissuade him from hitting
