Well howdy there, Internet people. It's Bill again. So today, we're going to talk about Trump's Doge disaster, Dully Disappearing.

Doge was Trump's flagship initiative in the first half of his second term. It set out to remake the federal government in the Trump-Musk image.

The Department of Government Efficiency was going to do amazing things. The promises were immense.

Initially, the initiative promised to cut $2 trillion from the U.S. federal budget. Trump even got behind the idea of handing out dividend checks to American citizens.

He wanted to hand 20% of the savings back to American households.

Promises of $5,000 checks were made.

But then, like most of his promises that idea

ran directly into the two main enemies of Trumpian promises math and reality

first the pledge of two trillion dollars in cuts started being walked back it was

cut in half and walked back to one trillion. Then reality

and math emerged again and the promises were walked back to 150 billion. The Doge website claims

it saved about 215 billion. But that number is, well, let's just say that number is debated. Independent audits

have suggested Doge wound up costing American taxpayers, not saving them. But for all of those

accusations, all we have to do is wait for the official report on its activities from the Trump administration.

Of course, there's one little problem with that.

On June 30th, House Appropriations Financial Services Subcommittee Chairman David Joyce, a Republican from Ohio, asked, quote,

Is there something that you're going to present,

or is there somewhere we can find what exactly Doge accomplished,

as far as reductions in dollars spent, people at agencies, or whatever?

Is there going to be some documentation of what took place? Trump's OMB director,

Russell Vaught, replied, quote, we have no plans to do kind of a closing Doge report. And there you have it.

There will be no Doge checks based on a household share of 20% of the savings. Because there
