Well howdy there, internet people. It's Bell again.

So today, we're going to talk about how Trump's campaign promise is more of the same.

Trump's giant July 4th speech was obviously a disaster.

I feel like by the time this video goes out, his failure to put on a simple fare

will have been discussed at length by pretty much everybody who has a platform. So, now that the

inevitable laughing, instead of crying, as Trump degrades the nation's reputation is out of the way,

let's take a look at something in his speech.

This speech was important to him.

It was a big deal and was supposed to set the tone as his agenda moves toward the midterms,

which often serves as a referendum on the president.

That's especially true when the president's party controls all three branches of government. If they can't produce success now, they'll never be

able to. His speech acknowledged his failure to accomplish what he wanted. Not intentionally, of course.

Trump never admits he's wrong. But the language he chose shows he knows his administration is a failure.

It also showed, in true Trump fashion, that he has no plans of altering course and trying

to step back from his disastrous policies. If you were comfortable with your success as a leader,

you would point to your successes. You would run on what you've accomplished.

Trump's big rhetoric?

This is, quote, only the dawn of the Golden Age of America.

Meaning, after all this time, halfway through the productive periods of his administration,

his promised golden age hasn't materialized. It's still on the horizon somewhere, something he's still promising. It'll probably arrive in two weeks. He's burned

half his time, because we're moving into the period where the house is campaigning and not

working and it's still not here he's out there saying the best is yet to come literally
