So today we're going to talk about Trump backtracking on Biden in the debate.

Recently, a GOP strategist and former Trump appointee Matthew Bartlett had some less than kind things to say about the current state of the Trump campaign.

After comparing the campaign's current state to a quote public nervous breakdown.

He went on to say this is a guy who cannot come to grips with a competitive presidential

race that would require discipline and effective messaging and

we're seeing a candidate and a campaign absolutely meltdown.

Trump is now seemingly fantasizing about Biden going to the DNC and demanding to be the nominee,

even though the roll call has already happened.

In one of the weird hypotheticals, Trump posted to a minor social media

outlet. He wondered what would happen if Biden, quote, crashes the Democratic

National Convention and tries to take back quote,

crashes the Democratic National Convention,

and tries to take back the nomination,

beginning with challenging me to another debate.

Trump recently stated, he wouldn't show up to the September 10th debate against Harris and tried out a list of excuses.

I wondered if he would eventually say a dog ate his debate prep.

A common read on him backing out of this is that he's worried about debating Harris.

If that's an accurate read, his unusual post would seem like he's

daydreaming about an opponent that he feels he can beat. Trump recently
