So today, we're going to talk about why Trump's cost-cutting plan may not go according to plan.

I'm really worried about Musk being able to control what's going to get cut.

The way he does things destroys a lot of his products.

I know you've talked about this a few times, but you haven't talked about him cutting benefits.

I do okay, but I live in Louisiana and people rely on things like Snap. I'm just worried he's

going to destroy my small town. So, this is going to be a lot like

that video where I said that Republicans in the Senate would push back against some of Trump's

nominees. And I got a lot of impolite messages questioning my sanity. But now, just a couple

weeks later, Republicans are in the middle

of torpedoing their what, third or fourth nominee, depending on how you count. Okay, are you

ready for this? Republicans in the House will push back on a lot of Musk's recommendations. Go ahead and make the comments, but they'll push back for some of the same reasons the Senate is,

their own power being the number one reason.

Just like how the Senate has the power over confirmation, as outlined in Article 2, Section 2 of the Constitution, and its power they don't want to erode.

Congress has the power of the purse.

They control the money, as outlined in Article 1, Section 8 and 9.

Trump wants for his cost cutter is i guess a non-governmental commission that reports to the executive

branch and will work in conjunction with the Office of Management and Budget.

They'll recommend a budget that Congress has exactly zero obligation to follow.

Just like Hal Johnson just said no to Biden's Ukraine request.
