Well, howdy there internet people, it's Bell again.

So today we're going to talk about Trump losing in his long shot attempt to move the New York case

in the hopes of ultimately having it dismissed.

On Tuesday, Trump's bid to move the case to federal court was quickly shot down by the

judge.

I know it's hard to keep all the entanglement straight so to be clear this is the New York

case commonly referred to as the Hush Money case where Trump was convicted of falsifying

business records to hide a payment to an actress.

The judge handed down a four-page ruling.

When addressing Trump's request to have the case moved and the idea that the state judge was biased against him,

the federal judge wrote, quote,

It would be highly improper for this court to evaluate issues of bias,

unfairness or error in the state trial.

Adding, those are the issues for the state appellate courts.

Trump also argued that the Supreme Court ruling on presidential immunity should lead to his

conviction being overturned. The judge who had previously ruled on this situation rejected that argument as well.

Writing quote, nothing in the Supreme Court's opinion

affects my previous conclusion that the hush money payments

were private, unofficial acts outside the bounds of executive authority.

Back in state court, Judge Mershawn is currently looking at requests from Trunk to either toss out the verdict or delay sentencing until after the election.

His sentencing, as it stands right now, is scheduled for later this month.

Prosecutors have opposed his request to delaying sentencing.
