So today, we're going to talk about Trump being sued by the youth.

22 Americans, some as young as 7 years old, and all under the age of 25, have filed against Trump.

They're saying the administration's moves to remove environmental

protections and roll back climate change efforts. Specifically, they're going after executive orders

14156, 14154 and 14261, and 14261, and saying Trump is deliberately worsening the situation. The suit names a list of

defendants that includes Trump, the U.S., the EPA, the departments of interior, energy, and

transportation, and more. 19-year-old Eva Lightheiser, one of the plaintiffs, said, quote,

Trump's fossil fuel orders are a death sentence for my generation. I'm not suing because I want to.

I'm suing because I have to. My health, my future, and my right to speak the truth are all on the line.

He's waging war on us with fossil fuels as his weapon, and we're fighting back with the Constitution.

Eva was a plaintiff in the Held v. Montana lawsuit.

The other plaintiffs not only vary in age, but also location. They come from

California, Florida, Hawaii, Montana, and Oregon. An interesting bit about the case is that it

doesn't seem to be arguing about the technicalities or legalities of Trump undertaking certain actions in accordance with

federal law. It looks like they're basing the case on unalienable rights and those enumerated

in the Constitution. I know a lot of people are going to roll their eyes at going that route.

A lot of people want to see a case that says

Trump can't roll back specific rule X because of law Y. That's for the states to file. It's important

to remember, as people might criticize the route, that this is exactly how they won held

versus Montana.

They applied this same tactic to the state constitution.
