Well, howdy there internet people, it's Bell again.

So today we're going to talk about Trump, Energy, and Germany providing a little

fact check of the former president's debate lies.

During the debate, Trump attempted to say something about cleaner energy being bad

somehow.

Quote, you believe in things like we're not going to frack, we're not going to take fossil fuel, we're not going to do

things that are going to make this country strong, whether you like it or not.

Germany tried that and within one year they were back to

building normal energy plants. We're not ready for it. The sentence about

Germany was kind of the only part that really made sense and it was not true.

The German Foreign Office took to social media to explain quote, like it or not, Germany's

energy system is fully operational with more than 50% renewables.

And we are shutting down, not building coal and nuclear plants.

Coal will be off the grid by 2038 at the latest.

Then they added quote,

p.s. we also don't eat cats and dogs.

Some Republicans really got in their feelings over the comment,

and the usual claims of election interference surfaced.

Yes, fact checks are apparently election interference.

Germany doubled down via their minister of state for Europe, Anna Lorman, saying,

we can no longer allow false statements to stand uncommented.

We have stopped using nuclear power and are burning less cold than we have since the 1960s.
