Well, howdy there, Internet people, it's Bell again.

So today, we're going to talk about Trump cutting vets and rural programs.

Trump has made the Republican base fearful of DEI programs,

even though some people have gone to great lengths to explain that DEI is not what they think it is,

and that the group they always say they want to help is covered under DEI. It doesn't help.

Anytime you've heard them say, we need to help the homeless vets, they're supporting a DEI program. They just don't know that's

what it is, because they believe talking points from people who actively want to cut those programs.

Anybody saying they want to cut DEI programs, either doesn't know, doesn't care, or wants to cut veteran programs.

Trump recently posted with all the random capitalized words you would expect, quote,

I have spoken with my wonderful Secretary of Commerce, Howard Lutnik, and we agree that the

Biden-Harris so-called Digital Equity Act is totally

unconstitutional. No more woke handouts based on race. The Digital Equity Program is a

racist and illegal $2.5 billion giveaway. I am ending this immediately and saving taxpayers billions of dollars.

Digital equity program. Obviously woke and racist. It has the word equity in it. Okay, so what is it really?

It's congressionally authorized by the Digital Equity Act of 2021, designed to

increase use of the internet among quote, covered populations. I'm sure people think they know

what those populations are, but it includes veterans, seniors, and those living in rural areas.

The National Digital Inclusion Alliance? Oh, look, there's the word inclusion.

Anyway, their director said, quote, is it unconstitutional for a grandmother to learn how to

protect herself from online scams? Is it unconstitutional for a grandmother to learn how to protect herself from online scams? Is it unconstitutional for a veteran to access a telehealth appointment? Is it unconstitutional for a child to finish homework at home? Is it unconstitutional for a job seeker to apply for work online.

Senator Murray of Washington kind of went off about the whole thing, saying, quote,

It is absolutely insane that resources meant to help red and blue communities, everyone, from local school districts and libraries to workforce training programs and tribes.
