Trump, Arnold Palmer, and Memories. By now you've probably heard about Trump's statements about Arnold Palmer.

You probably heard about how wildly inappropriate they were and how weird it is for a presidential

candidate's closing statements in the final weeks of an election

to be about, well, large club membership. But hey, at least he moved on from the Hannibal bit.

If you haven't heard about it, we'll do a quick recap,

add some additional context from Palmer's relatives,

and move on from there. So what did Trump say this time?

Quote, this is a man that was all man. This man was strong and tough and I refused to say it but when he took showers with the other pros

They came out of there. They said oh my god that's unbelievable

That's right. Trump was talking about what you think he was. Gives a lot of credence to Obama's crowd-sized joke, right? So now that we've covered how Trump was in awe of Palmer's driver, how did Palmer feel about

Trump?

Palmer's daughter answered that question back in 2018 saying quote

What would my dad think of Donald Trump today? I think he'd cringe

She went on to explain why, saying, quote,

My dad didn't like people who act like they're better than other people.

Peg continued, he didn't like it when people were nasty and rude.

He didn't like it when someone was disrespectful to someone else.

My dad had no patience for people who demean other people in public.

He had no patience for people who are dishonest and cheat.

My dad was disciplined.

He wanted to be a good role model.
