So today, we're going to talk about Trump giving mixed signals about HegSus Future.

So, the Trump administration appears to be somewhat divided about Secretary of Defense HegS

future after the latest signal controversy. If you missed it, news broke of another

signal group chat that reportedly contained more people that did not have a need to know

the information being discussed in it. In public, it looks like the administration is trying to

send the image that they're standing behind HeSeth. But rumors of more revelations to

come and reports that Trump administration insiders are telling the press that Trump is already

shopping for a new sect-def are undercutting the White House's messaging. It's important to remember

that this was the same dynamic that occurred right before we found

out Elon was being guided toward the door.

The short version of the internal dynamics at the White House, according to reports,

is that the White House is simultaneously telling the press that Hexeth is great and they'll keep him around and also

actively looking for his replacement. Even if Trump was willing to stand behind Hegeseth over

the possible disclosure of sensitive information, there are other issues. A former Defense Department

spokesperson just published an op-ed, describing

Hegss Pentagon as being in quote, full-blown meltdown. The op-ed also indicates the

belief that the situation is so bad, it's actually hurting Trump's ability to do his job. There's been a wave of people leaving

the Pentagon. And now you have Republicans in the U.S. House of Representatives saying it might be a good

idea for Hexeth to be replaced. Representative Don Bacon, who's kind of a big deal Republican in the House Armed Services Committee,

said that Republicans were uneasy with Heggseth to begin with, but the events since his confirmation

have made them downright nervous. Representative Bacon said, quote, I like him on Fox, but does he have the experience to lead one of the largest organizations in the world? That's a concern.
