So today, we're going to talk about Trump admitting inflation is back.

We're so back, and then immediately saying he's got nothing to do with it.

I know most people are pointing to his campaign promises about how he would immediately lower

inflation. This is being used to show how he couldn't fulfill that promise and is just

throwing his hands up in the air. There might be something more important. He's saying that

because it happened in his first two months, it's not his fault.

Trump's argument is that he has nothing to do with it because of how early it's happening

in his presidency.

Has he never seen an inflation chart for the last few years?

Or is he just hoping you haven't?

The inflation he blamed Biden for during the campaign started trending up in the first

month of Biden's term and continued from there.

This is a showcase of what pretty much every economist has been saying for years.

The beginning of the first Trump term was marked by a strong

economy because Trump walked into an incredibly strong economy. It was very resilient. It even

took some of his tariffs in stride for a little bit. And then in May of 2019, the yield curve

inverted. A yield curve inverted.

A yield curve inversion is a bad sign for the economy.

It means that short-term treasuries have higher yields than longer-term treasuries.

It generally means recession is coming.
