Well, howdy there, Internet people it spell again.

So today, we're going to talk about the revolt over the ACA in the House.

Yesterday, we talked about the abject chaos caused by Trump and Johnson's refusal to extend the ACA credits.

We mentioned how some Republicans were considering using a discharge petition to force a vote

on the issue over the wishes of party leadership.

Well, that happened.

Four vulnerable Republicans signed on to the discharge petition, which puts it at the needed 218 signatures.

This should force a vote on a Democratic plan that would extend the ACA subsidies for three years.

Currently, the subsidies are set to expire at the end of the month.

Tens of millions will see their health care costs rise if that happens.

The four vulnerable Republicans who gave a single-finger salute to the leadership of their

own party on behalf of their voters was representatives Mike Lawler of New York,

and then Rob Bresnahan, Brian Fitzpatrick, and Ryan McKenzie,

all of Pennsylvania. I've got a couple of questions about why I call them vulnerable

instead of centrist like most of the media. The simple answer is because they aren't centrist.

They're pretty right wing.

They're just more at risk of losing their seats.

Okay.

So what happens from here?

Well, since it was done by discharge petition,

it'll probably have to hold seven days before it comes up for a vote.

That puts it in the middle of the vacation, which means a vote probably won't come up until

...
