Well, howdy there internet people, let's bow again. So today we are going to talk about the

United States Air Force and the future of it. And a new concept that they are entertaining looked like they will be in acting

that not too long ago would have been written off of science fiction.

Would have been written off as something that, well, that'll

be happening 20 or 30, 40 years from now. But now it looks like it's right around the corner.

And it may lead to the purchase of about a thousand aircraft in the near term.

And these aircraft will not have pilots, but they will be

wingmen. They will fly alongside fighter planes, and they will be the wingman. More dog fights, less people.

The craft themselves, the drones, will be controlled either via AI by the fighter pilot themselves or from an observation aircraft further off.

The concept here is to allow the drone

to take on the riskier assignments and the secondary stuff that comes into play when

aircraft go into combat and allow the pilot to focus on the main mission,

unless the main mission becomes incredibly risky.

And then the drone goes and does it.

The overall idea behind what they're calling collaborative combat aircraft, I think is the buzz word for it.

The overall idea is to have these aircraft be capable enough to actually function as

the wingman, but inexpensive enough to be something that can be lost.

You lose some of these planes that the Air Force uses today, you're out a whole lot of

money and you're out a whole lot of training with that pilot.

If you can get the same effect with a drone controlled by that pilot who is now in

a safe position, it's just overall better as far as risk management.

The other good thing about this is when you're talking about something like this,
