Well, howdy there, Internet people, it's Bell again.

So today, we're going to talk about the GOP, Trump, affordability, and a lack of a plan.

Republican Representative Brian Fitzpatrick of Pennsylvania had some tough words for his own party recently.

He's not in a safe red district that lets representatives ignore the needs of their voters

and simply count on brand loyalty and people voting against their own interests.

His main issue is that the GOP still doesn't have a plan for the ACA

tax credits, and time is running short. Those of us providing commentary say things like,

they have 20 days to put something together. Sure, but that's normal person days, not congressional days.

They barely work as it is under a normal schedule, and that 20 days includes the holidays.

Fitzpatrick voted against the last push to repeal the ACA,

because he found the plan to give the average Americans something

to replace it lacking. Now it's eight years later and Republicans quote, still have not been able

to put together an articulable plan that's going to work for everyday Americans.

When it comes to letting the credits expire, he says, quote,

affordability is such a crisis in this country right now.

A significant increase in their premiums is not an option.

Another Pennsylvania Republican, Representative Ryan McKenzie,

toes the party line of saying the ACA is broken, but said, quote, I think that we need to deal

with the reality of where we are now, and even if you have a broken system,

that doesn't mean that you shouldn't provide or offer relief to individuals who are dealing with those high costs right now.

But there's just a few swing state Republicans

who seem to realize how damaging this is going to be for Americans
