Well, howdy there, Internet people, it's Bell again.

So today, we're going to talk about the GOP saying Trump's economic speech fell flat for the obvious reason.

Last week, Trump gave his prime time speech which focused heavily on the state of the economy,

which Trump simultaneously attempted to paint as both a good economy and the fault of Biden.

Also, it's a hoax.

You would think the blatant contradictions in his talking points and how those talking points contradicted reality would be the

problem. But it's not. Let's be real. Trump never really had a problem using talking points

that are at odds with reality. And much of his base has never really had a problem accepting them.

Witt Ayers, who is a Republican pollster,

had a pretty low review of Trump's performance. He said, quote, I don't think it will go down in the pantheon of greatest presidential addresses. I don't know if it will persuade anyone

who wasn't already persuaded.

But the real question is why? Why can't he stick the landing on this? One Republican told the

press, quote, it's the right idea to talk about the economy more, but the execution was abysmal.

He's a very effective salesman when his heart is in it, or when he's on the attack.

But the, I feel your pain speech.

He just doesn't have that club in his bag.

The establishment billionaire doesn't have empathy?

Say it isn't so.

I'm shocked.

Shocked, I say.
