Well, howdy there, Internet people, it spell again.

So today, we're going to talk about the GOP rejecting Trump's health care plan before it gets announced.

Yesterday, we talked about the rumored healthcare push from Trump, which was basically what the Democrats were asking for

during the shutdown, with a little window dressing for his base. Well, the rumor turned out to be true,

but before it was officially announced, some House Republicans were already panning the idea,

and it was happening in big enough numbers to be

concerning. As this news broke, we started getting questions about why on earth Republicans in the

House would sabotage themselves like this, and refused to take the off-ramp being handed to them.

Well, I would imagine that some Republicans

easily recognize the fact that this puts them fully at blame for the government shutdown.

The longest government shutdown in U.S. history occurred because Republicans didn't want to give

working-class Americans tax credits for health care.

They looked evil for that.

They'd look evil and ridiculous if they voted in favor of extending those tax credits right after the shutdown ended,

and they damaged the economy to hurt the working class.

But let's be honest, they look ridiculous now.

With Trump being willing to accept the extensions, it's over. The admission that the government shutdown was unnecessary and entirely their fault has already occurred.

A White House advisor said, quote,

The White House understands they have to do something on this,

as bad as Obamacare is.

This feeds into the whole affordability issue.
