Well, howdy there, Internet people. It's Bell again. So today, we're going to talk about the first

pay-for-play reports from the new Trump term. Reports have come out that David Warrington, an attorney

on Trump's transition team, conducted an internal investigation into Boris Epin and claims that he tried to seek financial

compensation from potential appointees or those who wanted influence in Trump's next administration.

The claims could be summed up as, pay me and I'll promote you to Trump for whatever job you want.

A former Missouri governor who was interested in joining the Trump administration

reportedly signed a declaration that stated, Epstein's quote, tone and behavior gave me the

impression of an implicit expectation to engage in business

ceilings with him before he would advocate for or suggest my appointment to the president.

This created a sense of unease and pressure on my part.

There's also the allegation that he sought payments or business dealings with Trump's eventual

nominee of Treasury, Scott Bessent. Reporting says he wanted a monthly retainer of $30,000 per

month to promote Bessent to Trump. There was also something about maybe investing in some kind of baseball team with him.

Besant is said to have declined, but is reported to have believed that if he had accepted,

it would have helped his chances of getting the job he ultimately was nominated for.

Allies of Epstein are saying the investigation was a political

hit job and is kind of indicating that it's normal palace intrigue stuff, set up by those

who don't like Epstein's influence with Trump. Epstein himself has denied the claims, saying, quote, these fake claims are false and defamatory

and will not distract us from making America great again. One thing to note here is that based on what I've

seen so far of the claims, is that none of this is actually illegal.
