Well, howdy there, internet people, it's fell again.

So today, we're going to talk about the plan to take the Senate back from Trump.

Not too long ago, the idea of the Democratic Party being able to get the majority in the Senate

was a joke, an impossibility.

And to be very clear, it's still a long shot,

a one in a million shot, but there is a shot. For the shot to land on target, everything has to go

right. So what's happened? The Democratic Party needs to flip four seats. While Schumer hasn't exactly been anybody's

favorite with his actions leading the party in the Senate, he has delivered when it comes to

recruiting big names to run for the Senate in key states. North Carolina was basically

a guaranteed red seat, and then former Governor Roy Cooper decided to jump into the race,

reportedly with some light prodding from Schumer. Cooper has already proven he can win statewide in North Carolina,

so he's an ideal candidate. Then in Ohio, there was again almost no chance.

However, former Senator Sherrod Brown has decided to run for his seat, reportedly with

some light, well, some full-blown harassment from Schumer.

Brown lost his seat in 2024, but he only lost by a few points with Trump and Vance on the ballot. They carried the state by double digits. Now, he's going to be running for Vance's old seat. He's got good standing in the state. Their next step is to land a solid candidate in Maine. They're hoping to

pull in Governor Janet Mills, who is term limited as governor. If Mills runs, she'll be going

up against Republican Susan Collins, who doesn't really generate a lot of enthusiasm on her side of

the aisle. And Mills has again

proven she's a winner in statewide races. Schumer also has his eyes on former representative

Mary Pultola in Alaska. She's looking at the governor's mansion, but she might be persuaded.

So that's a maybe.

Iowa's current Republican Senator Joni Ernst hasn't officially committed.
