A quick bit of state-level news that will be national today that we got a lot of questions about.

Dozens of organizations across at least 20 states are holding demonstrations today in opposition to recent Trump policies.

Okay, and on to the news.

In Alabama, a motor parts company and a distribution center are closing, affecting about 160 workers.

Alaska's capital was protected from flooding by the National Weather Service in a temporary wall.

In Maricopa County, Arizona, officials suspect more than 400 people have been lost to the

heat so far this summer.

In California, a chart was leaked showing which districts the state plans on shifting in response to the Republican

gerrymandering campaign. California isn't messing around. If these shifts occur, it is a safe

bet that a number of prominent California Republicans will find themselves out of a job.

In D.C., citizens are expressing their dissatisfaction with the National Guard deployment through demonstrations. In Georgia, the Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Pennix, last name spelled P-E-N-I-X, was misidentified by a Georgia TV station.

Yeah, they spelled it wrong.

Illinois has banned AI therapy.
