Well, howdy there internet people, let's go again. So today we are going to talk about

incredibly predictable outcomes.

Now I'm going to try to limit my commentary on this and just kind of give you the numbers and go over it.

But the one thing that I do want to say before we get too far into this is that

while to my knowledge, this is the first study that directly attributes this kind of legislation

to this outcome. This wasn't unknown. The reason those studies didn't exist prior

to this is because the correlation was so well established.

Nobody wanted to test it.

But that changed recently.

So this information was collected 2021, 2022, after Republicans got their way and caught the car and limited the ability of families to plan. In Texas, infant mortality has risen 8% since the introduction of that has been a

There has been a 23% increase in those lost to birth defects. It's important to note for context that the rest of the country is going the other way, seeing

around a 3% decrease. Now I know with the polarized nature of the world today, that the first question people are going to

ask is, well who did the study? Michigan State and Johns Hopkins. I don't think there's going to be a credibility

issue. This outcome, it was very well established that this was what was going to occur.

Sure there wasn't a study directly linking that type of legislation to this.

But it was known.

This is what happens when you allow politicians and political talking points to override the experts who continually said that this law was too restrictive and would lead to, well, this.

And I am sure there are going to be some who say, well, somehow this is actually good.

That it's somehow a net win.
