Well, howdy there internet people, let's bow again. So today we are going to talk

about a story out of Oklahoma, McCurtain County, Oklahoma.

And this is a long running story. It broke back in April of 2023.

And we finally have a little bit of well closure to it. Okay so what happened back in April of 2023 a recording surfaced.

This recording was alleged to have a number of county officials on it and the statements that were allegedly

on the recording they that were

described as appalling,

a warrant, just all kinds of things.

Some of it was dark humor.

Some of it was dark humor.

Some of it was way more serious.

The allegation is that at one point,

some of them were lamenting

the fact that they couldn't just go out and beat black people and hang them anymore.

There was also an allegation saying that on the recording it certainly appeared

that they wanted to permanently remove a journalist. It was a big deal when the story broke. The governor got

involved, called for basically anybody who was on the tape called for their

immediate resignations.

A number of investigations were launched, the attorney general got involved, but at the end of it,

the attorney general determined that while the statements were what

they were, there was nothing illegal about it.

And the sheriff, Kevin Clardy, well he didn't resign.
