Texas and Texans being asked, well not to drive.

Because, well, there was a surprising development, I guess.

So the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality basically said

that there were going to be issues with the ozone pollution, smog to everybody else, in a number of places, Dallas

Fort Worth, Galveston, Houston, so on. Cities. The advice that went out via the National Weather Service says

atmospheric conditions are expected to be favorable for producing high levels of

ozone pollution in the Houston, Galveston, and

surrounding areas on Friday.

You can help prevent ozone pollution by sharing a ride, walking, riding a bicycle, taking your lunch to work, avoiding drive-through lanes,

conserving energy and keeping your vehicle properly tuned.

Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, what happened to drill, baby drill? Rolling cold, y'all? That's

a diesel thing for people in the cities. Man, it seems like maybe that wasn't such a good idea to turn that into a state attitude.

Probably wasn't a good idea to tack on extra fees if you're

trying to register your electric vehicle, which is in Texas is what?

400 bucks, the first time, 200 free to renewal, something like that?

Maybe. Maybe adopting that attitude wasn't such a good idea. Maybe your state officials are putting the profits of dirty energy companies over you.

And it's not going to be one of those things that you're going to be able to ignore because it's just going to get

worse.
