Well, howdy there, internet people, it's Bell again. So today, we're going to talk about an

unusually honest Republican senator and Social Security. If I told you, Republicans weren't

being honest when they looked people in the eye and told them they weren't going to touch

Social Security, many of those who voted for Trump,

while dependent on social security, would of course say it wasn't true, or say I was being alarmist.

Quote, we're not being honest when we look people in the eye and say we're not going to touch it.

That's Republican Senator John Curtis of Utah.

He goes on.

Quote, that's not being honest with the American people.

And I think that's one of the things that makes them not trust us.

When we say something that they just know is not true.

Okay.

So what do they now admit they plan on doing?

He got into that too. Quote, we all need to say those in retirement and those near retirement were not going to touch it. You're safe. But let's have that conversation because my kids don't think they're going to get it.

So, why can't we have a conversation with them about moving some of the variables around?

And the sooner we do it, the less dramatic it has to be. There you go. It looks like the Republicans

are planning on taking away Social Security from your kids, rather than fixing it. At the very least, they're talking about reducing benefits or making them work longer and so on. Why do I think that? Because Senator Curtis said, quote, if we don't do it, we have worse decisions thrust upon us.

Worst decisions seems pretty clear whatever their planning isn't good. I'm sure a lot of people

who voted for Trump breathe the sigh of relief when you heard those in retirement and those near

retirement were not going to touch it.

You're safe. And I get it. It would be devastating for that to be cut. You need that social

safety net. So why are you okay with them taking it away from your kids and future generations?
