We'll pay any amount. This was a lot of America's

introduction to the industry. There are hundreds of these companies in the U.S. Now, it's worth noting

that most work almost exclusively for governments, insurance companies, or special situations. Imagine an experiment

that needs on-site fire protection. But there are companies that offer their services to the wealthy.

There's something unsettling about the idea of the wealthy hiring people to protect their

properties, while other people need help or rescue.

It provoked outrage, and it would be easy to just pile onto that.

But sometimes outrage can be a useful moment to get people to consider something they normally wouldn't.

You're seeing a glimpse of the future under the current trends of the system.

When every single service is commodified, packaged, and priced, this is the result.

This is the logical conclusion of running the government like a business.

As government services get privatized,

services will go to those who can pay the most. They'll get priority and access. It's the logical

conclusion of an ideology that uses government to break education or the postal service
