Well, howdy there, internet people, it's Bell again. So today, we're going to talk about Ohio

paying for other states. We've been talking about government relief and recovery operations

a lot lately. We had the one message where the person wanted to get rid of FEMA and described how.

Surprise, they literally reinvented FEMA.

But now we have a new talking point.

And to be fair, based on the phrasing, I think this person actually knows the answer to the question they're asking.

But maybe they've heard the talking point a

lot and want it examined. The other option is that it's something they've heard and maybe kind of

believe, but want to see if there's a rebuttal. Either way, it's a good jumping off point. So here

we go. Quote, devil's advocate.

As an Ohioan, every time I see FEMA deployed to Florida, North Carolina, Louisiana, Texas, Arizona,

Arizona, California, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera.

I think why are taxpayers in Ohio subsidizing people who make bad decisions about where

to live?

You should know better, and I don't want to bail you out.

Again, I can't tell if this person really believes this or not, but the talking point is real. So let's dive into it.

This list is based on things people on the team remembered because they either helped with relief,

worked the phones, or recovered it. February of this year, FEMA deployed to Ohio to help people, mostly in Kentucky, due to the Ohio Valley flooding.

May of 2024, tornadoes impacted a whole bunch of Ohio counties.

Specifically, Licking County was remembered because of the name.

February of 2023, there was the train derailment.

There's also Ohio's COVID response and a bunch of other tornadoes.
