Well, howdy there, internet people, it's Bell again. So today, we're going to talk about

Musk versus Trump's one big beautiful bill. Elon came out against the package passed by the

house, saying it was disappointing. We haven't checked in on Elon in a while, so we'll do that

today.

He said, quote,

I was, like, disappointed to see the massive spending bill,

frankly, which increases the budget deficit, not just decrease it, and undermines the work that the Doge team is doing.

There is so much in that one little quote.

First, hey, we at least have the acknowledgement from somebody in the MAGAverse that this is just a reckless spending bill

that does not actually cut the deficit, much less the debt. Trump has once again put the

con into economy and sold his base on the idea that this is somehow a fiscally responsible package when it isn't even close.

It's worse than the type of spending that put the U.S. in the debt-ridden position that it's in.

I wish he had been more blunt in his language here, but calling Trump's package a disappointment

is a start, I guess. He said it increases the deficit and doesn't decrease it. This is an

important concept for people to understand. The deficit and the debt are not the same. The deficit is how much more the government

spends than it takes in each year. Musk is saying it increases the yearly amount the country

is in the negative. That adds more to the debt every year, while a deficit reduction does not

necessarily mean the debt goes down. Then we have my

favorite part. It undermines the work that the Doge team is doing. I disagree. The package

massively over promises, underdelivers, and is full of gimmicks to trick people. It seems like it's carrying on the work of

Doge pretty well. I have a question sitting in my inbox about how much more a person will get back

on their tax refund because of the no tax on tips idea. It's currently written up as non-refundable.
