Well, howdy there, Internet people, it's Bell again.

So today, we're going to talk about Trump, Musk, Treasury, and USAID.

Trump's initiative under Musk has caused major headaches around the country and world.

First, the billionaires team accessed the Treasury Department's payment system.

Access to the system was granted by incoming Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent.

Long time Treasury officials resisted the move that grants must access to a payment system

that handles $6 trillion annually.

Senator Ron Wyden, who is ranking member of the Senate Finance Committee, wrote a letter

to Bessent, saying, quote, to put it bluntly, these payment systems simply cannot fail,

and any politically motivated meddling in them risks severe damage to our country and the

economy. It went on to express the senator's concerns, saying, quote, I am deeply concerned that following

the federal grant and loan freeze earlier this week, these officials associated with Musk may have intended to

access these payment systems to illegally withhold payments to any number of programs.

Musk's team also reportedly gained access to U.S. aid facilities. Musk has said that Trump agreed that the agency should be shut down.

That would require Congress.

A number of senators on the Committee for Foreign Relations wrote a letter to Secretary of State

Marco Rubio, explaining that, quote,

Congress established the U.S. agency for international

development, U.S. aid, as an independent agency, separate from the Department of State.

The letter then went on to explain that any effort to merge U.S. aid with another agency would have to go through Congress.

Then it got to the Senator's understanding of events as they transpired at the U.S. aid facility.

This is long but worth hearing.
