Well, howdy there internet people, it's Bell again.

So today we're going to talk about the Michigan Supreme Court,

Trump, and 2024.

There's been a unique but not unsurprising turn of events in Michigan when it comes to the state

Supreme Court.

There are two seats currently up for grabs.

Technically, the Supreme Court there has nonpartisan elections.

Candidates don't have their parties listed on the ballot but they're

nominated at party conventions so they're still backed by a party.

Most times it's pretty obvious which party is backing who.

An ally of Trump is seeking the nomination for the state's highest court from the GOP.

His name is Matthew DiPurno. Does that name sound

familiar? You could remember him from a few different things. He was a supporter

of the claims about the election after 2020.

In 2022, he ran for attorney general and lost.

In 2023, he tried to become the Republican Party chair in the state and lost.

But you probably most recognize the name from the charges against him,

undue possession of a voting machine and conspiracy.

DePerno has denied any wrongdoing.

The next court date is after the election.
