So today we're going to talk about Hurricane Milton,

your questions about evacuation, recovery operations,

horses, and a couple of other things.

As of right now at time of recording, which is early this morning,

the forecast says it will still come ashore as a category 3, with winds starting Wednesday morning.

The anticipated area is somewhere between Cedar Key in the north, down to Naples in the south, with the most likely area being around

Tampa and Fort Myers.

The National Hurricane Center website will have updated information.

It changes quickly.

Okay, so jumping on to the questions.

This came in a bunch of different ways,

but the core question is, I'm not sure if I should evacuate,

should I? I'm going to lean in on something that has been said for years on this channel,

when it comes to safety, where there is doubt, there is no doubt.

Meaning that people often look at the question from the wrong side when it comes to safety and security. You can say I'm not sure if I should

evacuate but the other side of the coin from the safety standpoint is I'm not

sure if I should stay. Then don't. If you have the means, get out. If you have to

stay, please do everything you can to stay safe. Remember that addicts are not safe havens during flooding. If you have to

go, take away to get out of the attic with you and axe or saw something like that.
