Well, howdy there, Internet people, it's Bell again.

So today, we're going to talk about how a sign of Trumpian things to come is waiting in the dark.

Before we get to the latest sign of big potential trouble, a quick recap.

Trump's rhetoric with Venezuela has been getting more and more

pointed. He declared the U.S. was in an armed conflict with groups he is designated. He also signed

a finding, which is the document the U.S. intelligence community needs to take more direct action than usual.

Then there's obviously the strikes. We also saw Admiral Alvin Halsey stepped down.

He was the commander of Southcom and he was overseeing the operation. He became the commander of Southcombe in November of 2024, so he was in the post for less than a year.

Leaving a command slot like that so soon is incredibly rare.

It's most likely either related to Trump's mission in Venezuela, which has a lot of unresolved legal questions, or it's due to some unknown personal reason.

There are reports that the Admiral had pushed back and raised questions about the legality of the operations.

But as of yet, that's not a confirmed reason for his departure.

We're also seeing bipartisan resistance to Trump's elective war up on Capitol Hill,

with Senators Rand Paul of Kentucky and Adam Smith of Washington pushed back.

Smith is the ranking member of the House Armed Services Committee.

The senators have both said they haven't seen any evidence to back up Trump's claims.

Paul said, quote,

You have to accuse them of something. You have to present evidence.

So, all of these people have been blown up without us knowing their name, without any evidence

of a crime.

But now we have another sign that Trump may be about to seriously escalate.

And it's waiting in the dark.
