So today we're going to talk about Harris, Trump,

Chips, and Dip.

Harris has been campaigning and singing the praises of the CHIPS Act.

Trump has been saying it's a bad deal.

So we'll just go ahead and present both sides arguments today.

Since the economy is featuring so heavily in the election,

it might be a good idea to look at economic policies.

What's Harris saying? Well, she's saying the Chips and Science Act is good.

It's a bipartisan bill that's dumping a little more than 50 billion into semiconductor manufacturing.

Reporting says projects that are backed by the CHIPS Act money

added 115,000 jobs so far. It's backing projects in 15 states.

According to the fact sheet on it, the U.S. was only producing about 10% of the world's chips and 0% of the world's most advanced chips prior to the

Act and is now on target to produce 30% of the advanced chips by 2032.

She's in favor of it.

She's so in favor of it.

She's touring manufacturing facilities

and talking about it.

What's Trump saying? He said quote, that chip deal is so bad.

Quick reminder, it's not a deal like some kind of trade deal. It's a bipartisan piece of legislation. He said, quote,

we put up billions of dollars for rich companies. That part is true.

Billions went to rich big companies that were producing chips elsewhere
