Well, howdy there, Internet people, it's Bell again. So today, we're going to talk about Trump's Medicaid plans and how people not on Medicaid probably want to pay attention because you'll be impacted too.

So despite all of the Trump fans saying they weren't going to cut Medicaid or Snap, they will. The budget

resolution for Trump's one big beautiful bill calls for 880 billion in cuts that need to be

found by the Energy and Commerce Committee. We said that was going to be primarily Medicaid and

SNAP.

We were told there's no way to know that.

The committee could find it somewhere else.

Well, it's official.

The cuts will primarily be Medicaid and SNAP.

They're so steep, the vulnerable Republicans in swing districts might pull their support.

For those in the back, even some Republicans are saying you can't cut health care that much,

especially when the explicit purpose is to pay for tax cuts primarily benefiting the wealthy.

So, Republicans will be trying to cut Medicaid in two main ways.

First is just outright cuts. The second is through the addition of work requirements. That's something

that as long as they don't put too much thought into it, a lot of Americans agree with. But here's the

problem. According to KFF, which specializes in health care policy, 92% of those enrolled

already meet the requirements. Given that Medicaid is a health care program, it's relatively

safe to assume that many of the remaining

8% are sick and can't work.

So how does this cut costs?

They implement paperwork and reporting requirements that when missed, void people's coverage.
